Sunday, March 13, 1955: Charlie Brown's going to regret that "kind of dumb" remark

Read this strip at gocomics.com.

Charlie Brown and Schroeder must have like no depth perception.  And that's gotta be a pretty strong wind to support a kite that small.

How does Lucy's intelligence matter to how high she can fly a kite?

  1. Agreed with Michael that it's a good gag. A wink from Schulz that it's a comic. As the the dumb remark--I see CB saying it in the way a young boy would say "all girls are dumb." They don't mean they are unintelligent, just that they think they are not good at stuff, or they play games with _dolls_, or they like to watch rom-coms and think "You've Got Mail" is high cinema.

Oh, wait, I might be revealing too much there.

  2. This was always one of my favorites. Aside from being a great sight gag, it turns the tables on CB's and Schroeder's "dumb Lucy" observation. Just who outsmarted who??
