November 22, 1951: Starring Patty as the Queen of Hearts
It's the Scribble of RAGE! Grrar!
This seems very much like a Lucy maneuver. This seems a somewhat misogynistic strip, doesn't it? How would we feel about this if it was, say, Shermy who was his opponent?

"Little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice. (hits Shermy) That's what little girls are made of." (3 Oct 50, Patty in the second strip)
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that Schulz was writing a misogynist strip, but that he was commenting on the fiction that says that little girls are angels, princesses, and always pleasant.
