November 19, 1953: Third use of "Fuss-budget"
Read this strip at gocomics.com.
Fuss-budget became one of those terms that identified Peanuts, like "good grief!" It's probably about time to stop calling out every usage, though.

August 10, 1953: You're a flop, Charlie Brown
In the past I've said that Violet and Patty often double-team against Charlie Brown, and we have seen a little of that. But as of yet (and in the near future) Violet tends to be rather more harsh than Patty. So it's a little surprising here to see Patty give the kid such a through dressing-down.
At least, at this point, Charlie Brown still has some bounce-back in him.

July 2, 1953: Lucy and Linus, sister and brother
This is the first time the two have actually seemed to be "together" in anything. Fellow-feeling is a remarkably uncommon trait for the Peanuts characters to have; most of them are loners at heart. Exceptions: Snoopy and Woodstock, "Peppermint" Patty and Marcie. Maybe Patty and Violet, although we haven't seen much of that yet.

October 18, 1951: I'm sure Hobbes could think of something
I've mentioned before that, as I go through these, at times Calvin and Hobbes seems like it must have been directly inspired by early Peanuts. The characters are of similar proportions to the kids in C&H, and this bath-avoiding trick could have come directly from Calvin's playbook.
It's not a sure thing, but it does seem like it might be possible.
